Q: Which Chinese class should my child take?
A: The Chinese school offers Chinese as a Secondary Language courses, Ma Liping Chinese courses, and preschool Chinese courses. Children under the age of 5 should register for preschool Chinese courses. School-age children should choose standard Chinese courses or Ma Liping Chinese courses based on their Chinese proficiency. Chinese as a second language courses are designed for students who speak Chinese as a second language. Ma Liping Chinese courses are designed for students from families with Chinese backgrounds who speak Chinese as a native language.
Q: 我的孩子应该上哪一个中文班？
A: 中文学校提供了中文第二语言课程，马立平中文课程，和学龄前中文课程。学龄前（5岁及以下）的儿童应注册学龄前中文课程。学龄儿童应根据中文水平选择标准中文课程或马立平中文课程。中文第二语言课程是为以中文为第二语言的学生设置的课程。马立平中文课程是为家庭有中文背景、以中文为母语的学生设置的课程。

Q: I am not sure if my child is suitable for a particular language class. Can I register my child first and then withdraw if it is not suitable?
A: Registration for Chinese school language classes is done through the Northampton Community College (NCC) registration system. NCC has a very strict refund policy and the procedures are quite complicated. If you are not sure if your child will enjoy a particular class, we recommend contacting the instructor to arrange a trial lesson before registering to avoid the situation of not being able to withdraw or get a refund.
Q: 我不确定我的孩子是否适合某个语言课程。我是否可以先给孩子注册报名，如果不合适，再退课？
A: 中文学校语言课程的注册是通过Northampton Community College (NCC) 的注册系统进行的。NCC有非常严格的退费程序，手续也比较繁琐。如果您不确定您的孩子是否喜欢某个课程，我们建议先和任课教师联系试听，确定之后再注册，避免无法退课、退费的情况。

Q: What should I do if I select the wrong course during registration?
A: Registration for language courses at the Chinese School is done through NCC’s registration system. If you select the wrong course, please contact youthinfo@northampton.edu to make corrections in the NCC registration system.
Q: 注册的时候选错了课程怎么办？
A: 中文学校语言课程的注册是通过NCC的注册系统进行的。如果您选错了课程，请联系youthinfo@northampton.edu在NCC的注册系统里修改。

Q: I can’t find the club courses on the registration website.
A: Club courses do not require online registration. You can register directly at the classroom.
Q: 我在注册网上找不到俱乐部的课程？
A: 俱乐部的课程不需要网上报名，可以直接去教室报名。

Q: Are there discount codes for registration at the Chinese School?
A: There are no discount codes for registration. However, there is an automatic discount for registering before the deadline.
Q: 中文学校的报名有折扣码吗？
A: 中文学校的报名没有折扣吗。但是在截止日期前报名会有自动的“早鸟”折扣。

Q: I am having trouble registering online. What should I do?
A: You can try other web browsers. If you fail to register on your phone, you can try registering on a computer.
Q: 我在网上报名一直不成功怎么办？
A: 可以试一下其他的网络浏览器。如果在手机上报名不成功，可以试一下电脑。

Q: Can I advertise in the WeChat group?
A: The Lehigh Valley Chinese School parent group is limited to notifications and communication related to the Chinese school community. If you have other information to share, you can post it in the Chinese school community group.
Q: 可以在微信群里发广告吗？
A: 中文学校家长群仅限于通知和交流有关中文学校的信息。如果有其他信息，可以发在中文学校社区群里。

Q: Where are the classrooms located?
A: The classrooms of the Chinese School are located at Northampton Community College.. The two preschool courses are held at Reibman Hall Children’s Center, while the remaining courses are held at College Center.
Q: 中文学校教室在什么地点？
A: 中文学校的教学地点在Northampton Community College。除了两个学龄前课程的班级授课地点在Reibman Hall Children’s Center以外，其余课程均设置在College Center。

Q: What activities does the Chinese School usually have?
A: In addition to weekly classes and club activities, the Chinese school regularly organizes a variety of cultural and sports activities throughout the year, including barbecues, Blue Mountain ziplining, farm visits, Chinese New Year Gala, pumpkin carving, Chinese competitions, and more. The Chinese school also actively participates in painting competitions, speech competitions, debate competitions, and essay contests organized by the headquarters.
Q: 中文学校平时都有哪些活动？
A: 除了每周日的授课和俱乐部活动，中文学校每年定期开展多项文体活动，包括烧烤聚会、蓝山滑索、农场游乐、春节联欢、南瓜雕刻、中文竞赛等丰富多彩的活动。中文学校还积极参加总校组织的绘画比赛、演讲比赛、辩论比赛、作文征文等各项比赛。
